The recording starts with the sound of someone pacing back and forth in the room. A voice finally speaking up. “These records are meant to be lost and forgotten.” She mumbles before going to speak directly to the recording now.
“These files that have been provided by Kor Shirr are more than troubling. The only ones who were ever meant to know about my dealings as an Investigator are Myself, the Council. No one else. Seri doesn’t even fully know of some of he things I have been sent on. How did Thrawn get all of this.” The pacing back and forth begins again.
“While what I did was never against the Jedi Code, that does not mean they are, or were, for the easily swayed, or easily tricked. Master Plo had trained me day and night to build up my mental defenses. There is a reason I was, and still am, an Investigator. It’s because I am good at what I do.” A sigh can be heard as she mumbles under her breath. “There is no emotion, there is peace…don’t let this get to you Alayna.”
The walking stopped and she spoke once more to the recording. “The fact that he has been tracking and tracked us, even those not on our ship right now, is the second most troubling thing. He knows about Seri, he knows about the others pasts in this family of ours. I need more answers, more information. Maybe Saiya knows how he has managed this. His ship is called the Chimera, that is where my search will start. Finding out more on his ship, and fleet, and in turn him . Loose tongues say a lot when they think they’re alone.”
The sound of a second datapad being put on a desk can be heard. “I need to speak with Kor Shirr more, he was on Thrawns ship. Maybe he has a backdoor into the information or just something. If not then I start by questioning the underworld. One of them has to know something, they always do.”
The sound of another frustrated sigh can be heard, as well as rambling. “He might know where Seri is…I need to take her with us. I will not risk losing her again.”
The recording ends abruptly.
